About us

You are here because you want to know more about what the Rural IT Association is all about and what we can offer you. We are happy to answer any questions you may have and hope that the following information may expand on any details that you may be interested in at this point.

Our mission

The Rural IT Association of Northeast Kansas understands that it is difficult for IT professionals working for a company in a rural setting. IT pros sometimes have no peers in their respective organizations and therefore need to rely on help from their counterparts at other companies. This is why R.I.T.A. caters to that common denominator in the rural IT universe and focuses activities and special interest groups to help overcome that lack of interaction between likeminded career individuals.

How it works

RITA is the only business technology information group that qualifies and organizes its members by peer groups. A unique tiered structure allows IT pros exclusivity from all other professions. IT professionals are free to interact, network and engage only with peers of their same level, or they can opt to interact with the senior IT group members whenever they desire.

Being the first of its kind, RITA of Northeast Kansas is poised to lead the future of successful Information Technology professionals. By securing a meeting place for IT pros, the natural socialization process encourages growth in the community and contributes to the learning process of new professionals. RITA is built upon the foundation of social networking and fuses member interaction and expert mentorship together around an open environment of communication and involvement. This environment encourages and enables IT Pros' participation in creating and directing the development of their very own network and ensures their participation in it. To better understand that participation, take a look at the services page.
